A gloomy tale about a king whose pride robbed him of love, friends and power. A cruel curse is at the beginning of the story of this fairy tale based on an old Irish legend. Until the king's newly born son raises his sword against his father, there will be no spring in the Hawk Kingdom. Although the king orders the counselor Ordon to kill the child, the nurse saves him and entrusts the child to the care of a bird. He names him Christopher and raises him together with his son Janko. Twenty years later, the king succumbs to Ordon's urging to war with the neighbouring King Ubald. It is in this war that the curse is fulfilled and the tragic fate of the new king, who cannot listen to the right mouth, begins to unfold.

What could the fairies be missing, anyone who sees those three lovely elderly ladies living happily in their castle in the middle of a beautiful garden would think. And yet something was missing. They longed for someone to cheer them up, to care for them. A little magic was all it took for Princess Janet to trade her family castle for a fairy garden. At first it seemed that she would not be so bad off here, but as soon as she made it known that she would not marry the obsolete king of the flower elves, a cruel punishment awaited her.

The fox is sailing the high seas looking for buried treasure. The crow, eyeing the fox as a sucker, passes his island home off as "Treasure Island", assuring the fox it is loaded with gold (which he proves by showing the fox phoney gold bricks which are really construction bricks painted yellow). However, there is a $2.00 fee for digging on his island which the fox refuses to pay. He tries to extract the "gold" by himself but the crow sabotages his efforts. First, he removes the blade from the fox's pickax.
